Inspirational Intern  

Network Peterborough have been supporters of The Inspirations Studio and Sparx Youth for some time now, and have the opportunity to share an update on some of what’s been happening. Here is a short interview with their Inspirational Intern...

Network Peterborough: Hi, please introduce yourself and tell us what your role is at The Inspirations Studio?
JC: My name is Joseph Caseley and I am an Intern for The Inspirations Studio and Sparx Youth Project.

NP: So, what have you been up to recently?
JC: Well firstly I’d like to thank-you for your ongoing support.
In November I had the chance to go to Youth Work: the Conference, in Eastbourne with Rachel Weaver, CYM Student at Sparx and a young person called Abi who became a Christian at Street Invasion during the summer and who was volunteering at conference.

NP: Was there anything specific you took from the conference?
JC: The main sessions were looking at leadership. I took away that to be a leader is to be someone who envisions a different future and aims for it.

NP: What else have you been up to?
JC: I also went to the monthly cluster meeting as part of the Peterborough Diocese ‘Expect’ programme.

NP: What sort of things have you been doing there?
JC: We did the 3rd session of Growing Leaders which was about "Clarifying Call". In part one of the growing leaders’ sessions (1-4) we’ve been given projects to do which have something to do with each session!

NP: How have you been finding your internship?
JC: I have continued to find my placement enjoyable but hard work!

NP: Prayer is always a significant part of making things happen and working towards “Your Kingdom come”, have you any prayer requests for our readers?
JC: Prayer is always appreciated. Giving thanks for the first Sparx Youth Service which was very well attended by some Young People who had been got involved through Street invasion, two of which gave their lives to Jesus, would be the first thing.

Please also pray for wisdom for Mark the project leader for Sparx Youth as he balances his home life and leading the project.
Please pray for the Welland drop-ins sessions which are open from 6.30-8pm and are on Wednesdays, Thursdays and open every Friday 4:30pm until 6pm. Ask for a welcoming and grown up environment.
