Search is on to find Peterborough's catwalk clerics

The Search is on for Peterborough vicars to 'strut their stuff' at Clergy on the Catwalk - a special event at the East of England Christian Resources Exhibition (24-26 February 2011).

'All denominations, shapes, ages - and both genders - considered!' explains CRE's event director Steve Briars. 'And we're giving £50 to each participant as a thank you.'

A wide variety of formal ecclesiastical clothing will be displayed by leading designers like Juliet Hemingray who believes women clergy have brought a fresh look to clerical clothing.

'They won't put up with worn-out robes,' says Juliet of Church Textiles in Derby. 'This has rubbed off on male clergy.'
