Kainos Community is a Christian Charity which has been operating in prisons in the UK for over 12 years.

Its mentor project offers follow-up support for graduates of its Challenge to Change programme and their families both while they remain in custody and, importantly, on release. This focuses on developing relationships with churches and other groups, aimed at encouraging individuals to volunteer to give support and encouragement to offenders upon their release from custody.

Volunteers are urgently needed for the Peterborough area. Mentors meet with an ex-offender once a week for approximately 2 hours on a one to one basis. Any reasonable travel and associated costs incurred through the mentoring relationship will be reimbursed. Training and support will be given
