Werrington Parish Church of St John the Baptist & Emmanuel Church

We want to see people far from God becoming fully devoted followers of Christ who: Know Jesus, live Jesus, share Jesus. We have a morning & evening teaching series for the sermons; Through our small groups we encourage pastoral care of one another & also look out for those on the fringe of the church seeking to give support and encouragement; 4 times a year we provide a free tea to the community as a blessing & also through our Community House we reach out & esp. to the elderly. Twice a year we run outreach children’s clubs, in the summer getting over 200 children for a week & our children & youth work is well attended; We train people for prayer ministry and for Christian Listeners & Bereavement Listeners & also in leadership.

Worship times:

St John’s Sunday 8am Communion; 10.30am ( children’s groups) & 6.30pm services.   Tues 9am Morning Prayer; Thurs. 10am service

Emmanuel : Sunday at 10am with crèche & children & youth groups

Weekly activities:

·         Small groups ministry for bible study & fellowship-some in the day & most in the evening.

·         Thriving youth work; two groups for those with pre school children (term time)

·         A community house, The Way In at 11 Copsewood-just call in.

·         Open mornings on Mon, Weds and Fri. & afternoons of Tues/Thurs; Tues. 10-12noon drop in at St John’s for coffee & chat;

·         Music groups at both churches.

·         Regularly hold the Alpha course.
